Dr. Mahir Elder works diligently to provide exceptional patient care, reduce recovery time, and offer simple procedures to overcome complex diagnoses. At MVP Endovascular Center in Dearborn, MI, Dr. Elder offers a range of minimally-invasive procedures for cardiovascular disorders. Using cutting-edge technology, Dr. Elder can improve a patient’s quality of life and their long-term prognosis.

With seven national board certifications, Dr. Elder is qualified to provide only the best care to everyone he meets. His medical background includes extensive research focused on endovascular procedures including complex diagnoses and cases that once required invasive treatment plans.

Dr. Elder completed his M.D. at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, located in Coral Gables, FL. Shortly thereafter, he completed his residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He holds two fellowships respectively from Detroit Medical Center, in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. In addition to his work at MVP Endovascular Center, Dr. Elder serves as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.

During his career, Dr. Elder has been named Teacher of the Year and Mentor of the Year at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has been featured on Crain’s annual list of Health Care Heroes, as well as Hour Detroit Magazine’s list of Top Docs. He also received the People’s Choice Award for Compassionate Doctor Recognition. Plus, he is frequently invited to speak at national and international medical conferences.
